Description
You may think that goats and coffee don’t go together… But as legend has it, around 850 AD, an Ethiopian goatherd boy by the name of Kaldi noticed one day that when his goats nibbled on a certain bush they got all frisky! So he chewed on the fruit himself. His exhilaration prompted him to bring the berries to a monk in a nearby monastery, but the monk disapproved of their use and threw them into a fire, from which an enticing aroma billowed. The roasted beans were quickly raked from the embers, ground up, and dissolved in hot water, yielding the world’s first cup of coffee. In this blend, we use a naturally processed Ethiopian as a base and round it off with a washed Central American coffee to keep it nice & smooth. Goat roper or no, you’re sure to get a kick out of this one!
